The Living Well Centre is committed to ensuring the safety of all participants of any shinny hockey drop-in opportunities. Therefore, the following guidelines have been developed to support this activity. For more information, please visit the Living Well HUB www.hondalivingwell.ca or call us at (705) 434-9854. To ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for Drop – In Associate Shinny programs, all users are required to observe the following guidelines.

 

Drop – In Associate Shinny Guidelines

• Associate Drop in shinny is always non-contact. Arena Guidelines are to be followed by all participants.

• 50min Time Slots: A maximum of 20 players (and 4 goalies) will be admitted.

• Ice time must be shared equally between all participants.

• The Living Well Centre has a Respectful Workplace Policy. All participants will always treat each other and facility staff with respect.

• Incidents/accidents are to be reported to facility staff.

• Theft does occur. Please do not bring any valuables into the locker room. Lockers/token lockers are available in the wellness centre.

• The use of and/or being under the influence of any drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited. If suspected of any use or possession you will be asked to leave the facility immediately.

• Living Well Centre Staff has the right to suspend shinny participants if the guidelines are not followed.

 

Associate Shinny Required Equipment:

• CSA Approved Helmet

• Shin, shoulder, and elbow pads

• Neck Guard (recommended)

• Hockey Pants

• Hockey Gloves
